T.Wan, L. Cheung and E. Wong are three designers who graduated from the Macao Productivity Technology Transfer Center with a Fashion Design Diploma. In the same year, it opened Hi Fashion Studio in 2013 and established the AXOXYXOXS brand in the same year. His works have been exhibited in the fashion gallery and cutting-edge design fashion show in Macau. 2014 and 2015 were funded by the Macao Cultural Bureau Fashion Design Modeling Subsidy Program to develop the design series.

The source of inspiration for the autumn/winter 2016 came from the wanderers in the city. Through the series, the characters in the metropolitan city yearned for freedom and independence, a group of dreamers with no labels or boundaries. Excluding decadent and slovenly styles, we chose a slender or bag-shaped tailoring technique and used fun-tied knots, pleas, folds, and other design techniques to show that all women are sloppy, self-possessed, casual and cautious. Cotton, wool, knit, and drape-rich synthetic fibers enrich the entire collection.

Q: Why did you start this brand?
A: We three people did not know before, because together to learn the same design courses and get acquainted, in the future exchanges because of common design concepts have common goals, then hit it off set up the brand AXOXYXOXS.
Q: What is the original intention of setting up a brand and what does design mean for you?
A: The original intention of setting up was also to do something you like, something that you can control, and bring your favorite things to others. Everyone is an independent individual. The same thing brings different feelings to different people. This is also a moving part of design. Express your ideas, concepts and emotions in your own way. Walk with your heart.
Q: How do you classify your design style and what do you think is the most distinctive design?
A: The design style is based on neutral simplicity, using the details to express and explain the quality requirements, I think each designer, brand is unique, the theme, material, details, structure, and creative points are each Their own ideas have their own different cultural backgrounds. The final design and visual effects are also unique.
Q: What is the source of inspiration for this season and what do you want to express through design?
A: Our inspirations are all around the stories happening in the city. We are more eager to be free and will not follow the traditional ideas. For example, the autumn and winter of 2016 was inspired by the wanderers in the city, but we eliminated the decadent or slovenly style, and chose a slender or bag-type tailoring, using fun knots, pleas, folds and other design techniques to show urban women Scattered and self-possessed, casual and cautious personality.
Q: How do you define the designer's job?
A: I think the designer is a very complex individual. On the one hand, he has the artist's requirement of pursuing innovation and quality. At the same time, he has to be an entrepreneur. Because the design you make is a kind of commercial behavior. You want to Understand the market and adapt to the market, so designers must find a balance between the two.
Q: During the design process, you will be more self-conscious. Do you insist on some artistic features or will you adjust according to the changes in the market?
A: I think there should be different considerations in different aspects, such as topics or concepts to express. The sentiments should be more in line with the heart and more artistic, but more business considerations should be added to the design of ready-to-wear garments. This is also a balance that our brand is striving to achieve. We must have a sense of design, a sense of affinity, and easy to wear.
Q: They say that the elements of fashion are constantly circulating in a certain cycle. How do you view this argument? Is there a similar situation in your design?
A: I agree with this point of view. The realization of the development of fashion has a little feeling of new wine. You don't necessarily have to create something new, but to use some new methods to represent the old elements is itself a creative idea. One of them, our brand is not designed for fast fashion, so it will not completely follow the trend. We will choose some elements that truly meet our brand philosophy and integrate into our own designs.
Q: What is the difference between brand culture or philosophy and other brands?
A: Just as everyone we said before was independent, I hope to bring this idea to other people. I hope that our products will allow every customer to wear it freely and express it in their own way. It will be tagged, not constrained by the traditional framework, give customers more choices, and let them freely Dress up and create their own unique style. I think this is a difference in our brand philosophy.
