At present, the cotton textile industry is facing huge inventory pressure. The monitoring of the six major trading markets such as Jiangsu Hutang, Zhejiang Qianqing and Shandong Changyi in the past year showed that the price of cotton yarn fell all the way from the highest point in September 2013 to the lowest point in August of this year, and the overall price dropped by 8%. Ju Jianxin, general manager of China Textile Materials Trading Center, analyzed that this was mainly affected by the impact of imported yarns and the cancellation of the temporary cotton purchase and storage policy from April 1st. China's cotton stocks have reached a record high, and domestic cotton textile companies and downstream markets have insufficient confidence in the domestic cotton yarn market. Price reduction sales and rapid shipments are currently the prevailing situation. New cotton in the Mainland is facing greater challenges this year, and there may be a situation where “high yield is not abundant”.

The problem faced by the chemical fiber industry is overcapacity. According to analysis, from January to August of this year, except for the printing and dyeing industry, products including px, polyester spinning, and filament weaving have all suffered long-term losses. In 2013, the px production capacity was 31.7 million tons, which was 39.57 million tons this year, an increase of “horrible”, accounting for only domestic production, and it has surpassed 972,000 tons so far this year. He believes that the textile and chemical fiber will soon face the "glacial era", and when it is unclear whether it is thawing.
